Pork Chops with Apples and Onions | Sweet & Savory Skillet Dinner

There’s something about pork chops with apples and onions that just feels classic.

It’s savory, slightly sweet, cozy, and perfect for fall — but honestly? I make this year-round because it’s simple, fast, and full of flavor.

The real secret here is the seasoning. Instead of just salt and pepper, I use my homemade blend that adds sage, thyme, and warm spice depth.

👉(Check out my pork chop seasoning here)

That seasoning takes this from “basic pork chop dinner” to “why is this so good?”

Why This Recipe Works

This dish hits every note:

  • Savory herb-seasoned pork
  • Sweet caramelized apples
  • Soft, golden onions
  • A light pan sauce that brings everything together

The flour coating gives the pork a slight crust while also helping thicken the sauce at the end.

It’s one skillet. Minimal cleanup. Big flavor.

The Secret: Homemade Pork Chop Seasoning

Instead of grabbing a store-bought blend, this recipe uses 2 tablespoons of my homemade Pork Chop Seasoning.

👉 (Check out my pork chop seasoning here)

It’s made with:

  • Sage
  • Thyme
  • Garlic powder
  • Allspice
  • Paprika
  • Salt

That sage-forward profile is what pairs perfectly with apples.

If you’re making pork chops regularly, I highly recommend keeping a jar of this seasoning in your pantry.

I put a simple version of this in my cookbook but today I dug through 4 years of video to find the “test” recipe I did to make this. It was SOOOOOOO GOOD. So I added the random version to the blog today. There is no rhyme or reason to it, just a shit ton a seasoning then I threw it on the smoker. Long live random recipe creation. 🤌🏾🤏🏾 #pork comment RECIPE and I’ll send you the link

This chicken shawarma is everything. Warm spices, juicy marinated chicken, crispy edges from the oven… and that flavor that makes you stop mid-bite and go “okayyyyy.”

The yogurt, lemon, garlic, and all those spices come together to create the most tender, bold, ridiculously good chicken. Wrap it in pita, throw it over rice, make a bowl, load it with sauce — it does not miss.

And the best part? You can make this at home. No street cart required.

Trust me… this one’s going into your regular rotation.

@soupercubes just came out with their own vacuum sealer bags, and they’re perfect for anyone building a freezer stash. I love that the bags fit the frozen Supercubes portions so you can portion, freeze, vacuum seal, and keep everything organized and easy to grab later.

It makes meal prep cleaner, saves freezer space, and keeps your meals fresh way longer — which is exactly what you want when you’re stocking up for busy weeks.

Leftover chicken, but make it useful. I had two b Leftover chicken, but make it useful.

I had two boneless, skinless chicken breasts left from dinner earlier this week, and instead of forcing another meal out of them, I turned them into homemade deli meat for sandwiches all week.

I did a quick brine with salt, peppercorns, garlic, and bay leaf for a few hours, then kept the seasoning simple with garlic powder and onion powder—because sandwich meat doesn’t need anything fancy. After that, I sous vide it at 150°F for 3 hours, sliced it nice and thin, and now we’ve got easy lunches ready to go.

It stays good in the fridge for 3–5 days, saves money, and honestly tastes way better than store-bought sandwich meat.

Sometimes meal prep is just using what you already have. #easyrecipes #sandwichmeat #homemadesandwich

Homemade strawberry jam is one of those little kitchen wins that feels way more impressive than it actually is. Just fresh strawberries, sugar, and lemon — no pectin, no complicated steps.

It tastes brighter, fresher, and actually like real strawberries (because it is). Spread it on toast, swirl it into yogurt, layer it into cakes… or honestly just eat it with a spoon. I won’t judge.

Once you make jam from scratch, the store-bought jars just don’t hit the same.
