Cook Time 25 minutes mins
- 4 Pork chops Boneless, at least 1 inch thick
- 2 Apples Thinly sliced
- 2 Onion Thinly sliced
- 4 tbsp Butter or olive oil if prefered
- 4 tbsp Unbleached all purpose flour
- 2 tbsp Brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Pork chop seasoning from seasoning section
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup Water
Pork Chop Seasoning
- 1 1/2 tsp Rubbed sage
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Thyme
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Ground allspice
- 1/2 tsp Ground paprika
Use 1/4 serving of pork chop seasoning and sprinkle on each pork chop making sure to season both sides.
Mix the remaining pork chop seasoning with the flour together in a bowl. Dip each chop in the flour mixture so each chop is coated.
Heat butter (or oil) in a large skillet and brown your pork chops over medium heat. This should take about 4-6 minutes per side depending on the thickness of your chop. Once browned, remove from skillet and transfer to a plate.
Add the thinly sliced onions and apples to the skillet and cook until tender. Stir in water and brown sugar then bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low, add the pork chops back into the skillet. Cover and simmer until the center of the pork chop reached 145 degrees. This should take about 5 minutes but no more than 10 minutes.
Taste and season with salt if needed.
