Easy Baked Chicken Parmesan (Crispy Without Frying)

Baked Chicken Parmesan is a classic for a reason — crispy chicken, rich marinara, and melty cheese never miss. This baked version gives you all the comfort without standing over a frying pan.

It’s simple enough for a weeknight but impressive enough to serve guests.

Why This Recipe Works

  • Pan-searing first creates a golden crust
  • Baking finishes the chicken without drying it out
  • Parmesan mixed into breadcrumbs adds extra flavor
  • Marinara and mozzarella melt into the perfect topping

Ingredient Notes

  • Chicken breasts: Boneless and skinless cook evenly
  • Panko breadcrumbs: Lighter and crispier than traditional breadcrumbs
  • Parmesan cheese: Adds salty, savory depth
  • Marinara sauce: Use one you already love
  • Mozzarella: Melts beautifully for that classic finish

How to Make Baked Chicken Parmesan

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Season chicken generously.
  3. Dredge in flour, egg, then breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture.
  4. Brown chicken in olive oil until golden.
  5. Transfer to baking sheet, top with marinara and mozzarella.
  6. Bake until bubbly and cooked through.

Chicken fried rice is that weeknight hero! It’s quick, comforting, and the best way to turn random fridge leftovers into something delicious. I used carrots, peas, and green onions, but you can throw in whatever veggies or proteins you’ve got. It’s budget-friendly, better than takeout, and comes together fast. Save this for your next fridge clean-out night!

I followed the viral recipe, but quick note: I found that 1 cup of flour wasn’t enough—it was too wet for me so I needed to add more.

Below is my adjusted recipe

HOMEMADE PLAY-DOH RECIPE
YOU’LL NEED:
	•	1.5 cup flour
	•	1/2 cup table salt
	•	2 tbsp cream of tartar

2️⃣ Add the oil and mix again.
3️⃣ Add a few drops of food coloring to your boiling water and pour it into the dry mix.
4️⃣ Mix everything together and knead it with your hands once it cools slightly—add a little more flour if needed until the dough isn’t sticky.

🫙 Storage Tip: Let dough cool completely, wrap in plastic, and store in an airtight container at room temp. Lasts up to 6 months!
