Asian Turkey Meatball Rice Bowl (Easy, Healthy, and Meal-Prep Friendly)

This Asian turkey meatball rice bowl is one of those meals that checks all the boxes: flavorful, balanced, and easy enough for a busy weeknight. Juicy baked turkey meatballs are served over rice with sautéed vegetables and finished with simple garnishes that make the whole bowl feel fresh and satisfying.

It’s a great option when you want something nourishing but still crave bold, savory flavors — and it works just as well for meal prep as it does for a quick dinner.

Why This Recipe Works

This bowl is built with simplicity in mind, but every component pulls its weight.

  • Baking the turkey meatballs keeps them juicy without extra oil
  • Ginger, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil add instant depth of flavor
  • Rice makes the bowl filling and customizable
  • Sautéed vegetables add color, texture, and nutrition

It’s a reliable formula you can come back to again and again.

Ingredient Notes

  • Ground turkey: A lean protein that stays tender when baked
  • Breadcrumbs: Help bind the meatballs and keep them moist
  • Green onions: Add freshness directly into the meatballs
  • Sesame oil: A small amount adds big flavor
  • Ginger & garlic: Essential for that classic Asian-inspired taste
  • Mixed vegetables: Bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots all work well
  • Rice: White or brown rice both pair beautifully

How to Make Asian Turkey Meatball Rice Bowls

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until just combined, then roll into 1-inch meatballs.
  4. Bake meatballs for 15–20 minutes, until cooked through and lightly golden.
  5. While the meatballs bake, cook rice according to package directions.
  6. Sauté mixed vegetables in a skillet until tender.
  7. Assemble bowls with rice, vegetables, and meatballs.
  8. Drizzle with soy sauce or teriyaki sauce and garnish before serving.

I stopped buying bottled ranch once I started making it like this. Creamy, tangy, and actually tastes like ranch — not mystery sauce. This one is made as a true dressing, so it’s pourable and perfect for salads, drizzling over pizza, or adding to bowls.

What’s in it:
• Mayonnaise
• Buttermilk
• Dill (fresh or dried)
• Garlic powder
• Onion powder
• Dried parsley
• Paprika
• Salt & black pepper

That’s it. Simple ingredients, big flavor.

For exact measurements, tips, and how to turn it into a dip, read the full recipe on my blog.

Chicken fried rice is that weeknight hero! It’s quick, comforting, and the best way to turn random fridge leftovers into something delicious. I used carrots, peas, and green onions, but you can throw in whatever veggies or proteins you’ve got. It’s budget-friendly, better than takeout, and comes together fast. Save this for your next fridge clean-out night!
