add your instant yeast to the warm water, stir it and set it aside while we prepare the rest.
Mix together flour, sugar and salt.
add the water and yeast mixture and stir with a spatula.
lightly flour your work surface and knead the dough until it is a soft dough ball. This should take about 8-10. minutes. (you can also use a stand mixer if you would like)
Lightly oil a bowl, put in your dough and let it rise for 1 hour or until the dough doubles in size.
Once it has doubled in size, punch out the access air and split the dough into 4 even pieces.
form dough balls and then punch holes in the middle with your finger to make the shape of the bagel.
Boil water in a shallow pan, add 1 tbsp of honey
Boil the dough for 1 to 2 minutes on each side.
Put the boiled bagels on a cookie tray, brush the top with egg to help with the browning process (optional), and to help your toppings stick
add the topping of your choice, we are using everything seasoning
bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes. let cool and enjoy!
