This quick and easy recipe will have you enjoying homemade donuts in no time. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced baker, this foolproof method will yield delightful results. Let’s Start Making Donuts!

  1. Gather the Ingredients:

To get started, make sure you have the following ingredients ready:

  • 1 can of refrigerated biscuit dough
  • Vegetable/Canola oil for frying
  • Granulated sugar
  • Cinnamon (optional)
  • Chocolate glaze or powdered sugar glaze (optional)
  • Sprinkles or other toppings (optional)

Other glaze options:

In this recipe we are making glazed donuts but grab these ingredients if you want to make other flavors!

  • Granulated sugar
  • Cinnamon (optional)
  • Chocolate glaze
  • Sprinkles or other toppings
  1. Prep and Heat the Oil:

Begin by pouring your oil into a deep pot or a deep-fryer. You’ll need enough oil to submerge the donuts entirely. Heat the oil to 350°F (175°C) over medium heat. Use a cooking thermometer to ensure the oil reaches the correct temperature.

  1. Shape the Donuts:

Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the individual biscuits. Using your thumb or a small cookie cutter, create a hole in the center of each biscuit. Set aside the donut holes for frying later.

  1. Fry the Donuts:

Once the oil is hot, carefully place the donuts into the pot or fryer. Be cautious not to overcrowd the pan. Fry each donut for approximately 2 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Flip them using tongs to ensure even cooking. Remove the donuts from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  1. Coat and Flavor the Donuts:

While the donuts are still warm dip each donut into a prepared chocolate glaze or powdered sugar glaze. Ensure that the glaze is slightly warm for better adherence. Add sprinkles or other desired toppings immediately after glazing.

  1. Serve and Enjoy:

Now comes the best part—indulging in your freshly made donuts! Serve them warm for the ultimate experience. These delightful treats pair perfectly with a cup of coffee or tea, making them ideal for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet snack any time of the day.

Conclusion:

Making donuts out of canned biscuit dough is a fantastic way to enjoy homemade treats without spending hours in the kitchen. With just a few simple steps, you can transform basic biscuit dough into delectable donuts that will satisfy your cravings and impress your loved ones. Whether you choose to coat them in sugar, add a hint of cinnamon, or opt for a glaze with sprinkles, these donuts are sure to please. So grab a can of biscuit dough, some oil, and get ready to enjoy a batch of scrumptious homemade donuts. Happy baking!

Welcome to my Freezer Marinade Series! Before I ev Welcome to my Freezer Marinade Series!
Before I even touch the marinades, prep is KEY.

This week I’m just working with chicken, so here’s how I get organized:
✔️ I pre-chop everything so I’m not stopping mid-recipe to grab a knife
✔️ I label all my freezer bags before they’re full and messy
✔️ I lay out all my ingredients so I can mix each marinade back-to-back without hunting things down

Doing all the prep in one session makes batching marinades feel fast, smooth, and stress-free. It’s the secret sauce to building a freezer stash without burnout.

💡 Bonus Tip: Use a bag holder, wide-mouth mason jar or a glass measuring cup to hold your bag open while you fill it—no spills!

This prep day saves me so much time during the week, especially when dinner needs to happen fast.
